Weekly Chart Highlights: 'Wonderful New World' Rises to the Top

SBS's 'Wonderful New World' ascended one spot from last week's second place to secure the No. 1 position. Its climb back to the top amid fierce competition reaffirms strong viewer interest.

JTBC's 'Everyone Is Fighting Their Own Worthlessness' and tvN's 'Secret Gratitude' also demonstrated consistent popularity, landing at second and third place, respectively. Both dramas moved up one rank from the previous week, solidifying their positions in the top tier.

New Entries and Dramatic Shifts Reshape the Drama Landscape

The most notable change this week was the debut of MBC's new series, 'Fifty Percent.' It made a strong entry at fourth place, quickly securing a high-ranking spot and generating anticipation for its future ascent.

Conversely, MBC's '21st Century Grand Lady,' which held the No. 1 position last week, plummeted eight spots to ninth place. This represents the steepest drop this week, highlighting the rapid shifts in the drama market. Netflix's 'Wonderfuls' also fell two places to rank seventh.

KBS2's 'Prescribing Love for You' and ENA's 'Scarecrow' each moved up one spot to fifth and sixth place, energizing the mid-tier. TVING's 'The Legend of the Cook Soldier' maintained its stable popularity, holding steady at eighth place, the same as last week. Unfortunately, SBS's 'Sold Out Again Today,' which was at tenth last week, dropped out of the chart.

Competitive Landscape Across Diverse Platforms

In this week's K-drama rankings, MBC and Netflix each placed two titles in the Top 10, showcasing the most entries. MBC featured its new series 'Fifty Percent' and '21st Century Grand Lady,' while Netflix presented 'Wonderfuls' and 'Girigo.'

Additionally, various broadcasters and OTT platforms, including SBS, JTBC, tvN, KBS2, ENA, and TVING, each secured one spot in the top ranks. This indicates a well-balanced competitive environment, without dominance by a single platform, suggesting that viewers are enjoying high-quality dramas across a wide range of channels and services.
