Starting May 29th, Baek Seung-mi's solo exhibition 'REUSABLE GRAPHICS' at Exhibition Space Leaflet will unveil "lifestyle art pieces" that breathe new life into discarded graphic resources. This exhibition aims to integrate artistic value with practicality, offering a fresh perspective on how art can permeate daily life.

The 'REUSABLE GRAPHICS' Project: Giving New Life to Discarded Designs

Life & Collect and designer Baek Seung-mi's collaborative 'REUSABLE GRAPHICS' project originated from a focus on "graphic elements" that were either consumed for a single use or lay dormant on hard drives. In a reality where countless visual productions are discarded after one use or vanish without ever seeing the light of day, this project proposes an innovative approach: transforming these graphic resources into practical art pieces.

The project emphasizes transforming graphic elements, infused with the artist's personal aspirations and experimental forms, into tangible, practical products. Life & Collect directly produced fabric items and galvanized iron plate modular frames using these graphic elements, ensuring that art can hold real value in everyday life. This initiative demonstrates how the creative value of design can extend beyond mere consumption and disappearance, evolving into "lifestyle art pieces" that offer lasting value to users.

An Exhibition Blending Art and Practicality

Designer Baek Seung-mi's solo exhibition 'REUSABLE GRAPHICS' will welcome visitors from May 29th (Friday) to June 20th (Saturday) at Exhibition Space Leaflet, located in Jung-gu, Seoul. With Life & Collect participating as a collaborative partner, the exhibition showcases results that harmonize the designer's unique artistic assets with the brand's practical values. Visitors can observe firsthand how graphic elements, once destined for discard, are transformed into stylish interior decor items.

Notably, all fabric products featured in this exhibition will be collected after its conclusion and upcycled into practical goods that can be useful in daily life. This goes beyond a simple exhibition, embodying Life & Collect's philosophy of reducing waste and proposing a sustainable consumption culture. The goal is to realize the cyclical value of art, where works are not merely confined to the exhibition period but are reborn in new forms to continuously enrich daily life.

Art in Everyday Life and the Pursuit of Sustainable Value

Life & Collect conceptualized this project with the hope that graphic elements, embodying the designers' deep contemplation and effort, would not be easily discarded like disposables, but rather become practical items that hold lasting value in people's lives. Moving forward, they plan to consistently pursue projects that actively discover the artistic value of various artists and expand them into "lifestyle art pieces" for everyday use.

Life & Collect's innovative vision and potential have already gained external recognition. The company was selected for the '2026 Arts Sector Startup Leap Support Project,' hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Arts Management Support Center. This selection provides various forms of support necessary for business growth and investment attraction, underscoring Life & Collect's potential to become a key enterprise that bridges art and industry, thereby opening new horizons for Korea's cultural arts industry.

English-Korean Version

Life & Collect Presents 'REUSABLE GRAPHICS' Exhibition with Designer Baek Seung-mi Life & Collect, an incubated company of Painters &…

[4
1403,1399,102,1402,1398,1401,1404,1400,94,93
post-1044","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-culture","tag-arts-management-support-center","tag-baek-seung-mi","tag-culture-and-arts","tag-exhibition-space-leaflet","tag-life-collect","tag-lifestyle-art-pieces","tag-painters-ventures","tag-reusable-graphics","tag-sustainability","tag-upcycling
["GET
