The event garnered significant participation, with 1,587 citizens attending. It provided an invaluable opportunity for individuals to reflect on everyday stress and bolster their psychological well-being through personalized 'Mind Prescriptions'.

Interactive Mental Health Support at the Han River Festival

The Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Metropolitan Mental Health Welfare Center set up a promotional booth at the '2026 Slow Han River Triathlon Festival,' which took place over two days, June 5th and 6th, at Ttukseom Han River Park. The initiative focused on a mental health awareness campaign aimed at the numerous Seoul citizens attending, providing them with an opportunity to reflect on their daily stress and collectively foster mental well-being.

Designed to promote the psychological well-being of festival-goers, the campaign saw active participation from 1,587 citizens who visited the booth and engaged with the mental health support programs. This enthusiastic response highlights the public's growing interest in and recognition of the importance of mental health management in contemporary society.

Significantly, by offering mental health services in an open and accessible environment like a festival venue, the campaign greatly enhanced the accessibility of these services, making them feel more familiar and approachable to citizens.

Personalized 'Mind Prescription' Kits and the 'Mind Comfort Bus'

At the event, the Seoul Metropolitan Mental Health Welfare Center collaborated with the Seoul Mental Health Welfare Center and the Seoul Suicide Prevention Center to offer various experiential psychological services that citizens could easily incorporate into their daily lives. Among these, the 'Mind Prescription' experience program, led by the Seoul Metropolitan Mental Health Welfare Center, was an interactive initiative designed to suggest self-management methods for common modern psychological symptoms such as insomnia, stress, and depression.

Citizens were able to select personalized kits based on their specific needs: the 'I'll Help You Sleep' kit for insomnia relief, the 'I'll Blow It Away' kit for stress reduction, and the 'I'll Wipe It Away' kit for alleviating depression. These tailored kits received widespread positive feedback, offering practical tools for individuals to care for their mental state.

Additionally, the specialized 'Mind Comfort Bus' was deployed on-site, providing both heart rate variability (HRV) tests for stress measurement and professional psychological counseling. Based on their test results, citizens received individual consultations from experts and personalized guidance on stress management, allowing them to experience practical mental health care services beyond a simple one-time activity.

Promoting Mental Health Awareness Amidst Enthusiastic Participation

The promotional booth also featured a variety of engaging interactive programs, including an event for following the center's official SNS accounts and a gacha drawing, which attracted many citizens throughout the event. Over the two days, citizen participation was robust, with 510 'Mind Prescription' kits distributed, 62 HRV stress measurements conducted, and 62 on-site psychological counseling sessions provided.

Participants shared positive feedback, expressing that after actively enjoying the festival, visiting the booth to receive a personalized 'Mind Prescription' and kit made them feel healthy in both body and mind. Many also noted that they found it highly beneficial to gain specific tips for independently managing stress or depression.

The operation of this promotional booth served as a crucial opportunity to foster a positive perception of mental health among citizens and made mental health services more accessible. The experiential programs in an open setting were particularly effective in improving citizens' access to psychological support.

English-Korean Version

Seoul City Boosts Mental Wellness at Han River Festival with 'Mind Prescriptions' The Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Metropolitan…

[6
1641,210,1642,1643,1648,1647,1644,213,1645,1646
post-1191","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-food-life","tag-han-river-festival","tag-mental-health","tag-mental-health-welfare-center","tag-mental-wellness","tag-mind-comfort-bus","tag-mind-prescriptions","tag-psychological-counseling","tag-seoul-metropolitan-government","tag-stress-management","tag-ttukseom-han-river-park
["GET
