The 한국박물관협회 announced the 성공적 conclusion of the 'Museum x Wander' program, a 핵심 component of the '2026 Museum & Gallery Week.' This initiative, jointly spearheaded by the association, the 문화체육관광부, and 한국위원회, ran throughout May across four major 지역, with 운영 managed by Siwol E&C. 'Museum x Wander' is designed as a 지역 박물관 여행 that connects distinctive 박물관, 미술관, and 문화 명소 within each 지역. Its 주요 goal is to decentralize 문화 engagement, extending 기회 beyond the 수도 metropolitan area and promoting 문화 다양성 전국. Tailored Cultural Expeditions Reflecting Local Characteristics
Each 권역별 프로그램 was meticulously crafted to offer participants profound 경험 centered on the 고유한 문화적 맥락 of its 지역. In Gyeongju, the 고대 수도 of the Silla Kingdom, the 'Gyeongju, A City Read Through 역사' program treated the entire 도시 as a living 역사 박물관, connecting 주요 문화유산 sites with relevant 박물관.
Jeju Island offered two distinct courses: 'Jeju, 박물관 Stroll – Encountering Jeju's 건축,' which explored 건축 문화 harmoniously blended with the island's 고유한 지역 특색, and 'Jeju, 박물관 Stroll – Encountering Jeju's 박물관,' which showcased a variety of 박물관 공간. These courses provided participants with a deep dive into Jeju's multifaceted 문화적 면모.
In Seoul's Seongbuk district, the 'Seoul, Korean Beauty Through 조형예술' course allowed participants to appreciate the aesthetics of Korean 조형예술 by visiting 미술관 and 문화 명소 imbued with the spirit of various artists. Finally, in Gongju, the second 수도 of the Baekje Kingdom, the 'Gongju, Following 흔적 of Ungjin Baekje' program offered a direct encounter with 고대 백제 문화 through visits to sites like the Gongju 박물관 and other Ungjin Baekje 흔적.
