
The 제23회 Seoul International Environmental Film Festival (SIEFF), hosted by the Korea Green Foundation, is set to present a unique 축제 celebrating the bond between 인간 and their 반려동물. The 'Earth We Pet Family Festival,' taking place on Sunday, June 14, at Yongma Falls Park in Jungnang-gu, Seoul, will feature a 다채로운 lineup of 야외상영회, insightful talks, and engaging 체험 booths. This special event aims to explore the harmonious 공존 of humans and animals, offering a 의미 있는 opportunity for pets and their 보호자 to enjoy together and reflect on the true 의미 of living in harmony.
Highlighting 'Mungchi on the Road' with Special Guest Appearances
The Korea Green Foundation, as part of the 제23회 Seoul International Environmental Film Festival, will host the 'Earth We Pet Family 축제' on Sunday, June 14, starting at 3 PM. The event will take place at the 다목적광장 of Yongma Falls Park in Jungnang-gu, Seoul. This 축제 offers a 다양한 array of programs designed for 반려동물 and their 보호자 to enjoy together, including an 야외상영회, talk sessions, a flea market, and various 체험 booths.
A major highlight of the 축제 will be an 야외상영회 of the animated 영화 'Mungchi on the Road'. This 최신작 by 거장 Korean animation 감독 Oh Sung-yoon, known for 'Leafie, A Hen into the Wild' and 'Underdog,' garnered significant attention even before its 개봉, with 배우 Do Kyung-soo, Park So-dam, and Park Chul-min lending their voices to the narration. The 영화 portrays a 세상 where 인간 and 동물 공존 through a warm lens, encouraging deeper contemplation on the 의미 of living in harmony with 반려동물.

This year's 축제 will feature enhanced 체험 programs that integrate pet care with the 가치 of 환경 보호 and 동물권. Attendees can visit the Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance 'Petppermint' pet insurance booth and the Uumpa 입양 문화 campaign booth to gain 유익한 정보 on responsible pet ownership and the adoption of 유기동물.
Additionally, several engaging 체험 booths are designed to raise awareness about the 환경 and 동물권. These include eco-friendly activities such as 'Upcycled Pet Tug Toy Making,' '저탄소 Pet Shampoo Bar Making,' 'Upcycled Keyring Making,' and a 'Mini Agility Playground.' These activities provide pet owners with opportunities to actively 참여 in 환경 보호 and practice 지속 가능한 pet 생활.
참가 신청 to 참여 in the 축제 opened on May 18, with registration for 500 teams on a 선착순 basis via a Google Form link on the Seoul International Environmental Film Festival's official Instagram. Each team can consist of up to three people and one 반려견, and 참가비 is free. Early applicants will receive a welcome kit, also on a 선착순 basis, containing items such as two types of chicken and vegan pet food, a 'Mungchi on the Road' bookmark, an upcycled cup holder, and a dental care kit.
