Amidst the ongoing 64th Jinhae Gunhangje this year, ‘Semoro Festa,’ a local content brand based in Changwon, is offering visitors a new festival experience as an official program of the Gunhangje. This ‘2026 Semoro Festa in Jinhae Gunhangje’ was jointly planned by culture planning company Ppeonhan Changwon and local branding company Develop Fun. Both companies operate the festival under the name of Semoro Cooperative.
An Atmospheric Food Space with a ‘Sea Pocha’ Concept
‘2026 Semoro Festa in Jinhae Gunhangje’ was set up along approximately 100 meters of the beachfront path near Sokcheon Port. This festival presented an atmospheric food space with a ‘sea pocha’ concept, set against a backdrop of cherry blossoms and the night sea.
Ten popular restaurants from the Masan, Changwon, and Jinhae regions are participating, offering a variety of menus. This has received significant acclaim as a stay-type content that encourages tourists to linger.
Experiential Programs Featuring Local Flavors and Sentiment
‘2026 Semoro Festa in Jinhae Gunhangje’ has gone beyond merely introducing restaurants. It was planned as an experiential program where visitors can enjoy local flavors and sentiments together at a night pocha street that unfolds beneath cherry blossom trees.
Especially at night, the cherry blossom nightscape harmonizes with the port lights, offering a different charm compared to daytime. This contributes to increasing visitor satisfaction.
Enthusiastic Visitor Response and Positive Reviews
From the early stages of the festival, a large number of visitors flocked to the event, making it difficult to find empty seats in the evenings. This phenomenon led to positive evaluations, indicating that new stay-type content had been added to the Gunhangje.
On-site, enthusiastic comments such as ‘You must visit here if you come to Gunhangje’ were reportedly heard frequently.
