Eumseong Glocal Town: Beyond Tourism with 'Local Living'
Eumseong Glocal Town, a 청년마을 located in Chungcheongbuk-do's Eumseong County, is inviting 참가자 for its 'Glocal Local Living' program, which aims to redefine the 여행 경험. Scheduled for three days from August 4 to 6, this initiative goes beyond traditional sightseeing, offering an 기회 for an in-depth immersion into the 일상 of Eumseong.
Unlike typical 관광 focused on visiting 명소, the 'Local Living' program is designed for 참가자 to directly engage with various community members, including 지역 주민, 청년 창업가, 기업, and farmers, experiencing the authentic 일상 of Eumseong. Through this process, 참가자 will identify local 문제점 and contribute to projects by proposing creative 문제 해결 제안.
Engaging as 'Local Detectives' and Unique Cultural Experiences
A key component of the Glocal Local Living program involves 참가자 acting as 'Local Detectives,' exploring various corners of Eumseong County. They will meticulously observe 지역 상권 and 생활 환경, undertaking 활동 to identify 문제점 and propose 제안. This 활동 is designed to foster a multifaceted understanding of the 지역 and encourage active participation.
The program also features a wealth of unique 체험 활동 not typically found in 일반 여행. These include a tofu-making 체험 at Pulmuone, an exploration of the distinctive 'Billionaire Toilet Kingdom,' relay seminars led by local 청년 창업가, and 세계 미식문화 경험. These 활동 are expected to offer 참가자 diverse 경험 and leave lasting 인상.
Recruiting Youth to Become Regional 'Players'
Ari Lee, CEO of Glocal Town, emphasized that this local living program offers 참가자 the 경험 of becoming 'players' who actively contribute to building the community, rather than just being 관광. She explained that the program will allow 참가자 to directly discover Eumseong's 잠재력, forge meaningful 관계 with new people, and establish genuine ties to the 지역.
The program is open to 청년 aged 19 to 39, both 국내외 국적. The 참가비 is 50,000 KRW, which includes 숙박, 식사, 차량 이동, and all program costs, making it accessible for interested individuals. 신청 can be submitted through the 공식 'Youth Village Creation' website until 2 PM on July 29.
Glocal Town, operated by Jamtori, was established as part of the 행정안전부's 'Youth Village Creation 사업.' This initiative actively promotes various 사업 where 외국인 주민 and 지역 주민 collaborate to develop and operate 문화 and 관광 content, significantly contributing to 지역 활성화.
